Read how Livo Chatbot collects, stores and protects your data and your website visitors' chat data. Transparent data handling for our AI chatbot platform.
Last updated: 5 August 2026
This policy explains what personal data Livo ChatBot collects, why we collect it, and what you can do about it. It covers two different groups of people, and the distinction matters:
For visitor conversations, our customer is the data controller and Livo ChatBot acts as a data processor on their behalf.
When a visitor uses a chatbot installed on a customer's website, we store:
The widget does not track visitors across other websites and does not build advertising profiles.
We do not sell personal data, and we do not share it for third-party advertising.
On the Pro plan, visitor messages are sent to a third-party AI provider — OpenAI or Google Gemini, depending on how the platform is configured — together with the relevant knowledge base content, in order to generate a reply. Those providers process the request under their own terms and privacy policies.
Free plan chatbots answer only from the knowledge base and do not send conversation content to any AI provider.
We also rely on these categories of provider: web hosting, email delivery (SMTP), and payment processing (Razorpay, Cashfree and UPI banking infrastructure). Each receives only the data necessary to perform its function.
We use browser storage to keep you signed in to the admin and customer dashboards, and the marketing site uses cookies for basic analytics where enabled. The chat widget itself uses minimal local storage to maintain the session while a conversation is in progress. We do not use third-party advertising cookies.
You can access, correct, export or delete your data at any time:
Depending on where you live you may have additional statutory rights, including under India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act. Write to us and we will honour any right that applies to you.
If you are a website visitor who chatted with one of our customers' bots and want your data removed, contact that website owner directly — they control it. If you cannot reach them, we will help you make contact.
Passwords are hashed with a modern one-way algorithm. Access to dashboards requires authentication, and two-factor authentication is available on every account. API keys and payment credentials are stored server-side and masked in the interface. Traffic is served over HTTPS.
No system is perfectly secure. If we become aware of a breach affecting your data, we will notify you promptly.
Livo ChatBot is a business product and is not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 18.
We may update this policy as the product changes. The revision date at the top always reflects the current version, and material changes will be communicated by email.
